Just Read! Launch event: Read the World
Our launch event 'Read the World' took place on 3rd April 2025 on the ground floor of the Lanchester Library
We had lots of information about the Just Read! initiative for students and staff to read, including bookmarks to take away!
The Coventry Central Public library also kindly provided foreign language books for us to lend to celebrate different languages.
We took the opportunity to promote our subscription to Pressreader which give access to many international newspapers and maagzines.
We ordered in lots of new fiction titles written by international authors and created this display.
We also invited students to recommend books from around the globe by adding them to our map on a Post-It note. If we didn't have them in stock, we looked into purchasing them!

Book Camp at the SU De-Stresstival Fair
We set up our Book Camp in the SU for the De-Stresstival Fair on 7th April 2025.
We brought our mobile library including many fiction titles, graphic novels, cook books and personal development books. Students were able to borrow any titles they liked the look of.
We had lots of interesting conversations with students about reading for relaxation, and why they might not be reading as much as they would like to.
