English Language Support offers numerous advantages to CUC students:

Who can use the English Language Support service?

The service is available to all CUC students, especially if English is a second or additional language. It would particularly benefit those who want to build confidence in academic English.

How often can students book tutorials?

Students can book 1 to 3 tutorials per week and are welcome to continue booking sessions throughout their entire study period at CUC.

What's the difference between English Language Support and the Academic Writing Service (AWS)?

While both services aim to support academic success, English Language Support focuses on improving overall English language skills, including grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and communication. The AWS specifically helps with academic writing skills and knowledge. If students are not sure which service they need, they can always have a chat with the team first for guidance on the most appropriate support.

Are online sessions offered?

Yes, both in-person and online tutorials are offered to accommodate different student preferences and needs.

How do students book a session?

Students can be referred by a staff member, use the self-referral form, or visit the drop-in sessions. After initial contact, they'll be provided with a booking link for future sessions.
