- a specific book: type the author's surname and one or two key words from the book's title
- books on a topic: type some keywords and search using the Books and more... option
- journal articles: type some keywords and search using the Journal articles... option

Using databases is the best way to find journal articles. Coventry University subscribes to a large number of databases, which can be used to locate journal articles, conference proceedings, books and patents.

The vast majority of the library's books are electronic, and can be accessed by Coventry University members both on or off campus. E-books can be found using Locate or by searching various e-book platforms directly.
There are a number of resources you can use to find dissertations and theses from Coventry University and other national and international universities. Please note that the library does not hold copies of undergraduate or taught Masters dissertations.
