Borrowing and Returning Items
If you wish to borrow an item from the Library you should come to the Library to borrow it. When in the Library, you can use the self-service machine to borrow or return books, CDs and DVDs.
When you have finished using your borrowed items, please return them to the Library so other library users can borrow them.

Renewing Items
Your library books will be automatically renewed unless someone else reserves them.
You are still responsible for all books borrowed in your name. Please check any emails that you receive from the library and return any reserved items and items you have finished with as requested.
If you have more than £10 in fines on your Library account, then you cannot borrow additional items.
You may borrow 20 items at any given time. Our loan periods are:

If someone else has reserved your item, you must return your item(s) to the Library by the due date otherwise you will be fined £1 a day for each requested book up to a maximum of £15. The Library will inform you by email if any books cannot be renewed and will send you a monthly statement of the books which you have on loan. |

You can use the self-service machine to pay your library fines - to do this, you will need:
If you have forgotten your ID card but have other ID with you (e.g. passport, driving licence), you can pay your fines at the Student Information Desk on the 3rd Floor.
You must come back to the Library once you have paid your fines, with your receipt, so that we can update your Library account.
If you are no longer in London or the United Kingdom, you can pay your library fines via the online payment portal. Please visit our Finance Portal and follow the instructions.
