What Is Flying Start?
Flying Start is Coventry University’s e-textbook scheme which aims to provide every undergraduate and postgraduate on direct entry courses with personal electronic copies of the core textbooks for each module at no extra cost.
What is BibliU?
BibliU is the interactive platform we partner with to make your Flying Start e-textbooks available for you.
Am I eligible for Flying Start?
If you're an undergraduate/postgraduate student in a direct entry course, then you will have access to the Flying Start scheme.
If you're taking an apprenticeship course, you won't be eligible for Flying Start.
What if you don't have access to a particular eBook on BibliU?
Occasionally, if an e-book is unobtainable from BibliU, we will try to obtain the book from another library supplier. Books provided by library suppliers are still accessible from your module reading list however you will not receive the book as a personal copy or have access to it once you have graduated.
I have difficulties accessing/reading e-books, can you help?
Yes! We may be able to provide you with a print copy instead.
We can also guide you on how to make effective use of e-books including changing the display to make the book more user-friendly and easier to read. Please ask at the Library Help Desk.
