Locate is the name of the library's search tool.
You can use it to find books (both print and electronic) and also journal articles. Simply type your search terms into the search bar and select the type of resource you would like to find using the relevant buttons.
You have a library guide specifically for your subject area, called a Subject Guide. Here you will find a collated list of the online resources that relate to your course, as well as professional guidance about finding and using information for your studies, and details of the librarian who can help you with finding information.
Access the full list of subject guides here.
You can find information about other academic support services in the library here.
Our team of Academic Liaison Librarians run a series of workshops that are open to all students. Topics include referencing, literature searching, understanding journal articles, and more.
You can sign up to any of these webinars via our Library Workshops Calendar.

If the library doesn't have a resource you need for your studies, we may be able to source it for you.
Our You Choose service enables you to request an item for the library to purchase for the collection.
If it's available, reasonably priced and approved by the collections team, we'll let you know as soon as it’s available.
We also have a Document Supply service which allows you to request items from other libraries, this includes books and journal articles.
