Physiotherapy: Accessing and requesting journal articles

Sometimes, you may find that you cannot access the full-text version of a journal article, and despite searching for this on Locate (the library catalogue), the entry for that article does not appear.

Below you will find step by step instructions guiding you through how to find the journal article entry on Locate and how you request it:

• Click on expand beyond library collections which is the top entry in the filters column on the left hand side

• This should retrieve the entry for the article you are looking for. Then click on the > symbol (beside the link icon):

• If you have not already done so, please log in to your library account and you should see a red button which reads resource sharing request: 

• Click this button and then scroll down to the bottom of the short form and tick the copyright declaration box:

• Click on request and this will submit your request to Document Supply. This is a completely free service and turnaround time is usually between 3-5 working days.
