The principles of a good reading list: Content

Consider greater inclusion of short-form content (book chapters and journal articles) to give unlimited access and focus student reading time.

	Chapters can be digitised through our CLA licence, you can request this when you send your reading list for review to the Library.
	It is more financially sustainable to use items in our subscription databases than buy single ebooks, so make sure you search Locate the Library catalogue.
	Use Open Educational Resources via Sylla. Sylla choices on Bibliu can be used for essential reading. However you can also link to OERs as recommended reading outside of Bibliu

Content best practice

• Set a realistic amount of total reading time
• Make sure the content links directly to your course
• Use the Section function to add reading to the relevant weeks / topics in Aula
• Use properly licensed library content.
