Getting Help
Undergraduate and taught postgraduate students: for maths or stats support please come and talk to us using our drop-in service (in-person or online). After this, if your query requires further support we will arrange an appointment for you. If the available drop-in times are not convenient for you, or to get more information, email us on sigma_staff@live.coventry.ac.uk to arrange an appointment.
Postgraduate researchers and staff: please either use our drop-in service or email us on sigma_staff@live.coventry.ac.uk to arrange an appointment (in-person or online) to discuss your maths or stats support needs.
Please help sigma with our large international research study investigating students' perceptions of using Generative AI tools to support the learning of statistics. All answers are anonymous and takes less than 10 minutes: https://app.onlinesurveys.jisc.ac.uk/s/coventry/student-perceptions-of-generative-ai
Immediate one-to-one support. For both in-person and online drop-in you would be seen in a 1-2-1 basis where no appointment is required.
Mathematics and statistics worksheets and videos for all different topics, and useful links to external websites.
We run several workshops throughout the year including Numerical Reasoning, PGCE Numeracy tests, SPSS, and Statistics.

The letter "sigma" (∑ - upper case and σ - lower case) is the 18th letter of the Greek alphabet, corresponding to our Roman letter 's'. It is much loved by mathematicians and statisticians but more importantly: sigma is the name of the team at Coventry delivering mathematics and statistics support to all Coventry students.
