Disability Support HLS: Physical Access

Entrance

There are two accessible entrances. One is located at 350 Kennington Lane (the main entrance of the building) and one is at the back of the building via the Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens.

Lift access

There are two lifts at the Hudson building that both students and members of staff can use.

Welcome Desk

The main welcome desk/reception can help you with anything you may need.

Accessible toilets

An accessible toilet is located on the ground floor of the Hudson building.

Emergencies and evacuations

In the event of an emergency, an evacuation alarm will be repeated loudly throughout the building.  The alarm system is audio only. If you are unable to use the stairs to exit the building, you should remain in a designated refuge position located at every level of each stairwell next to the lifts, until the emergency services reach you. 

Please alert a member of staff as to your whereabouts; this will then be reported immediately to the emergency services.
