Library Services Options: Study Spaces

There are a variety of spaces for groups to use for studying together in the library. 

When using these spaces, we ask that you:

• Be considerate to others who are studying by talking quietly in this area
• Return any unwanted books to the trolley near the Library Help Desk
• Wear headphone splitters to avoid disturbing other users

The library space also expands to this room where you can find PCs, Macs and comfortable booths:

The silent study room has 20 desk spaces and is for silent study only.

Please respect your fellow students by:

• Not talking in this area
• Keeping your phone and other devices on silent
• Keeping the volume on your headphones turned down low
• If you need to take a phone call, take it outside 

Our Huddle Rooms are bookable for group work, practicing presentations or sharing work with others by connecting your device to the large monitor screen.

Before booking a Huddle Room with us, please note:

• You may book the Huddle rooms for a maximum of 2 hours per day
• Groups must consist of a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 8 people
• Please enter the student ID numbers for at least 2 other students when booking
• Each group may book up to 3 sessions per week
• Sessions may be booked up to 7 days in advance
• No food and drink is allowed, apart from bottled water
• The group leader must collect the room key from the library desk, lock the room, and return the key after the session
• If the group is 15 minutes late, the booking will be cancelled
• The group leader is responsible for the use of the room and must ensure it is left in a clean, working, and tidy state
