Library Services Options: Borrowing a Laptop

How do I borrow a laptop?

1) Go to the laptop safe/machine in the library (3rd floor).

2) Click 'Laptop Loan' if you want to borrow and 'Return Laptop' if you want to return.

3) You will have to scan your ID card on the grey pad on the right-hand side of the screen.

4) You will then be shown a number on the screen. Open the locker with the same number.

You'll need your University ID card to use the laptop safe.

Laptops may be borrowed for 6 hours maximum. If you want to use a laptop for more than 6 hours then you will need to return it and borrow another laptop.

When you've finished using the laptop, please return it on time - if you don't, then you may incur a fine.

Always remember to re-insert the locker charger into the laptop when returning it - failure to do so may also incur a fine.

Fine charges are £1 per hour after the return time.
