If the Library does not have the journal article you need you can make a document supply request. This is a straightforward three-step process. Read the guide below, or check out the video walkthrough.
Please note that this service is only available for electronic items for CU Group students. Requests for print books should not be made, as they will not be delivered to your base campus.
Search Locate for the item you require. Remember to login to Locate using your computer username and password.
To see the article you are looking for, you may need to click the option button to 'expand beyond Library connections'.
To employ the most effective method of searching for or requesting full text articles on Locate, click the article guide here.
Open the record for the article you want to request by clicking on the title. In the 'Get it' section, you should see a link/button called 'Resource sharing request'. Click this and complete the delivery information area at the bottom of the form.
If this button does not appear then please use the Document Supply Request Form.
If we cannot provide access to the item you require through our subscriptions, a request will be sent to the British Library.
The British Library provide 80% of our requested items. Documents are supplied via a link in an email, which will be forwarded to you. If the British Library are unable to provide access, we will search other UK libraries.
An email with a link to document you requested will be sent to your University email address.
Anyone with an active university account can make document supply requests. However, each request costs the Library time and money to process.
We would encourage all users to ensure that the article they are requesting is likely to be important to their research.
