The Centre for Academic Writing (CAW) is an innovative teaching and research centre whose mission is to enable students at Coventry University to become independent writers, and to equip academic staff in all disciplines to achieve their full potential as authors and teachers of scholarly writing.
The University of Maryland, College Park (in the United States) are conducting an Internal Review board (IRB no.: 2091700-5) approved paid study on the diversity of writing styles around the globe. They are seeking native and non-native (advanced) speakers of English (and/or Russian) to participate. Participants will be asked to author original writing samples for several different genres. Participation is entirely online, and compensation will be provided upon proper completion of study participation tasks. Coventry University Success Coaches are running a series of workshops: Confidence with English. Running between May - July 2024, these workshops are availalable to any Coventry University Group student who wishes to develop their English speaking skills.
