CAW LibGuides: Single Question Drop-in Sessions

CAW’s Single Question Drop-in Sessions are scheduled each day Monday – Friday on the ground floor of Lanchester Library during peak demand teaching weeks each semester.  The sessions are designed for students to be able to speak to an Academic Writing Tutor to provide quick support, advice, and guidance up to a maximum of 10-minutes per person.

Popular topics asked during these sessions include, but not limited to:

The sessions are not designed to replace students utilising CAW’s online writing resources, attending an academic writing development workshop or booking an individual one-to-one academic writing tutorial for more in-depth writing support.  Please do not expect, or ask, the tutor at the session to look through a full writing assignment and provide guidance or support to you.

From Monday 14 October 2024 to Friday 6 December 2024 inclusive, drop-in sessions will be held on the Ground Floor of Lanchester Library as below days and timings.

Mondays: 14 October – 2 December 2024 inclusive between 11:00 – 12:45

Tuesdays: 15 October – 3 December 2024 inclusive between 11:00 – 12:45 AND 14:00 – 15:45

Wednesdays: 16 October – 4 December 2024 inclusive between 10:00 – 11:45 AND 14:00 – 15:45

Thursdays: 17 October – 5 December 2024 inclusive between 11:00 – 12:45

Fridays: 18 October – 6 December 2024 inclusive between 13:00 – 14:45
