Background
Case studies are a great way to explore a particular topic or issue in a real world setting.
They can be discovered in a variety of places depending on where they have been published such as within a text book or journal article. Many journal articles are also dedicated case studies.
Emerald Insight gives access to the the Emerging Markets Case Study Archive (2011-2023). This archive includes case studies from real people and organisations in emerging markets, developing economies and regions which can traditionally be underrepresented.
Search for your topic (you may need to scroll down to view the search bar) and use the filters on the right panel to choose Only content I have access to (under Access) and select Case study (under Content Type). Again, scroll down the page to view the Content Type options in the right panel.
Teaching notes are available to Academic staff only. Please email your Academic Liaison Librarian for access.
The Financial Times provides a select number of case studies within two sections of the website; Business School Debates and Business School Sustainable Education.
The first time you login to the Financial Times, setup an individual account with the FT using your Coventry University email address. This allows you to also access the FT app.
Many journal articles are also case studies. To find them, enter 'case study' in the search box as one of your key words. You can find journal articles on ABI/Inform Complete, Business Source Complete and Emerald Insight.
