EndNote is a referencing tool that Coventry University subscribes to. It allows you to:
EndNote is particularly good at handling large volumes of references, which makes it a good choice for systematic reviews.
EndNote 21 is now available, and we recommend this for new users. Existing users can continue to use EndNote X9 for the foreseeable future. (Please note that EndNote X9 is not compatible with up-to-date Mac OS.)
EndNote is a desktop product that you download onto your computer. The method for installing EndNote varies depending on your setup. Click on the relevant link for you below.
First, contact the Library at: ask-a-librarian.lib@coventry.ac.uk to ask for an EndNote product key. Then go to the EndNote website and download EndNote 21 for Windows or Mac. During the installation process, you will be prompted to enter the product key.
Go to the desktop of your computer. You should see a desktop shortcut called 'Logoff this PC'. The icon will either be green or red.
If you have a Windows device with a RED desktop shortcut named Logoff this PC:
If you have a Windows device with a GREEN desktop shortcut named Logoff this PC:

First, contact the Library at: ask-a-librarian.lib@coventry.ac.uk to ask for an EndNote product key.
You will need an admin password for your laptop in order to install EndNote. Contact Digital Services to arrange a time for them to support you with this.
When you meet with Digital Services, go to the EndNote website and download EndNote 21 for Windows or Mac. During the installation process, you will be prompted to enter the product key, so make sure you have obtained this from the Library first.
