Academic Writing Service: Welcome

Welcome to the Academic Writing Service

This service is part of Library and Learning Services at CU London and is dedicated to guiding and assisting students with academic writing and English language at university. Whether you are finding it difficult at the beginning of your course or need to develop and improve to achieve the grades you want in years 2 and 3, the service is here to help.

The following types of individual assistance are available:

Sessions are also run for particular course groups, as arranged with course tutors, including Saturday sessions for part-time courses. Please feel free to request a workshop on any academic writing topic you feel your group would find of interest.

Academic Writing Skills Diagnostic Exercise

If you wish to find out how good your academic writing skills are, and how you can improve them, you can do a diagnostic exercise online by clicking here.

The full  exercise takes about an hour, but you can choose to do as much or as little of it as you wish. You can do the exercise as many times as you like and save a copy of each of your responses.
