Due to current COVID-19 Health & Safety measures, socially distanced study facilities have been introduced. All spaces are for individual work only including group rooms at the moment. You can book a study space via the purple buttons on this page. Only current registered students can use the Library.
You will only be allowed into the Library past the entrance gates if you have pre-booked a study space or have requested books. You can pick up books ordered via our Click and Collect service from the front area. You must have your ID card to enter the building and a booking confirmation to enter past the gates. Please note we do not accept e-scooters/scooters, skateboards or bikes into the building.
To request physical library stock, you can use our click and collect service. Library staff will fetch the items from our shelves and, once they are ready for collection, we will send a confirmation email that your items are ready for collection. Available 'on shelf' item requests will normally be ready for collection within 24 hours, items 'on loan to another users' - you will be notified once these items become available. Items will be held for a maximum of one week before being returned to the shelves. If, for any reason, we can not supply an item, we will let you know.
Remember that many of our books are available as ebooks, and we would encourage library members to use ebooks as an alternative to printed copies where these are available on Locate.
Please return books to the trolley in the Welcome area at the Main Entrance to the Library. The books will be removed from your account.

With effect from 16th September 2019 we are introducing automatic renewals.
Automatic renewal means that all standard loan and one week items you borrow will be renewed 2 days before the due date -
