CAW's Facilitated Writing Time sessions give students the opportunity to come into CAW’s Academic Writing Studio for two hours to work on a current writing assignment.
During these dedicated sessions, students will have the opportunity to speak to an Academic Writing Tutor while concentrating on their writing or integrating sources. To facilitate this, registration is restricted to 15 places per session. Early registration is recommended and students are expected to stay for the full session.
NOTE: These sessions are not aimed at Postgraduate Researchers (PGRs) as separate sessions are scheduled for this level of study.
Each facilitated writing time session is limited to 15 spaces. To ensure students make the most of this dedicated writing time, attendance is expected for the whole of the session.
To register for a Facilitated Writing Time session, go to: https://libcal.coventry.ac.uk/calendar/caw and choose one of the sessions to attend.
Students may register for, and attend, multiple Facilitated Writing Time session scheduled but as spaces are limited, CAW asks you to consider allowing other students the opportunity to attend at least one session per semester.
If you cannot attend, please cancel your place in advance to allow another student the opportunity to register. Failure to attend without advance cancellation or informing CAW's Admin Team (via writing.caw@coventry.ac.uk) may lead to future registrations to be cancelled.
CAW has an academic writing development workshop to help students with their dissertation writing. Why not consider attending: (UG) Writing your Dissertation or Final Year Project workshop?
This workshop deals with the most common challenges of dissertation and project writing and offers advice on how to structure, format and write up your dissertation or final year project. Although aimed at late second year or final year students, postgraduate students may find some aspects of this workshop useful.
