The letter “sigma” (∑ - upper case and σ – lower case) is the 18th letter of the Greek alphabet, corresponding to our Roman letter ‘s’. It is much loved by mathematicians and statisticians. sigma is the name of the team at Coventry delivering mathematics and statistics support to ALL Coventry University Group students no matter which campus you are studying at.
Based on the ground floor of the Library, sigma support students at all study levels from all subject areas with any mathematics or statistics problem. They build students' confidence, improve their understanding and develop more effective strategies for learning mathematics and statistics. They endeavour to answer all questions about mathematics or statistics in the context of the subject you are studying, regardless of what course you are on. No question is ever too elementary or trivial.
